Health Plans Available for Individuals and Families
BCBS of Tennessee PPO Plans Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee offers several PPO plans from which to choose.
These PPO plans include a large number of member physicians and health care providers. Members can see any health
care provider in the system without needing a referral. Prescription drug co-payments are $10 for generic drugs, $35 for
brands preferred by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee, and $50 for all other prescription drugs. Premiums are based on
deductibles, ranging from $250 to $5,000, and co-pays of either $20 or $30 for office visits, as well as insurance for other
treatments. There are also other deductible and coinsurance plans available.
SimplyBlue Plan: This plan gives members affordable premiums with the knowledge that members have coverage for
unexpected illnesses or injuries. The SimplyBlue plan has several options of deductibles, coinsurance, and maximum out of
pocket expenses from which to choose. Many preventative and wellness services are covered. Members are eligible for
optional maternity and dental benefits.
SimplyBluePlus Plan This plan has more benefits than the SimplyBlue plan. SimplyBluePlus offers members low co-pays
on generic prescription drugs and offers coverage, subject to co-pays, on many services including immunizations for foreign
travel and flu shots. Members are eligible for optional maternity and dental benefits.
BluePartner Plan This plan offers the advantages of an HSA, or health savings account, with a PPO. Members pay pre-tax
dollars into their health savings account which they use to pay their medical bills. Members pay coinsurance when
applicable, as well as deductibles and premiums.
